Meeting At The Crossroads is the first video of its kind to raise awareness of the importance of collaboration between mental health and other agencies. It is a must for all mental health and domestic violence/sexual assault providers, state and national consumer and advocacy groups, and legislators.
Portraits of survivors interweave with discussions by individual counselors, therapists, and others for an engaging and motivational look at the differing ways in which mental health practitioners and domestic violence/sexual assault lay counselors seek to help survivors of trauma. Meeting at the Crossroads advocates the importance of collaboration among all treaters in helping their trauma survivor clients. The video is part of an effort to promote, enhance, and expand effective community-based services for persons with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues who have been or currently are experiencing abuse and/or trauma.
